New Inter deal a dream come true for Guarin

Inter Milan midfielder Fredy Guardin says his new three-year contract with the club is like a "dream come true".

Guarin was linked with a move to Chelsea in January and was later on the brink of joining Serie A leaders Juventus in a swap deal with Mirko Vucinic, only for the deal to collapse at the final hour. Having come so close to leaving the club it looked like Guarin was destined to leave Inter this summer, however the Columbia international has now changed his mind and committed his future to the Nerazzurri.

"I'm delighted," the 27-year-old said. "This is another dream come true for me and I'm over the moon. "I've been here for over two years and it's been a very positive experience. Every day that passes allows me to earn even more experience and to add another three years of this experience is very positive."

Guarin joined Inter from Porto for €11million in 2012 after an impressive four-month loan spell with the club. He has made 26 appearances in Serie A this season, scoring three goals and making six assists.
