Paris Saint-Germain star Ezequiel Lavezzi is confident they can beat Chelsea in their Champions League quarter-final tie.The two European heavyweights are set to square off in the first leg of their last-eight contest in Paris on Wednesday night, with the return leg at Stamford Bridge pencilled in for Tuesday, April 8.
The Blues have become an established European side over the past decade while PSG are still finding their feet on the biggest stage after the recent investment in the club.
But Lavezzi does not believe that he and his team-mates are in any way inferior to the west Londoners and has backed them to progress in the competition.
"Chelsea are a big team but it did not matter who we drew, we don't fear anybody," he said. "We have to respect Chelsea of course because they have a successful coach and very good players but now, if you ask me who are the superior team, then I have to say PSG.
"We have built one of the strongest teams in the world and we feel that now this is our time."
