Martino expecting tough encounter

Barcelona boss Gerardo Martino has insisted that Atletico Madrid will be "very tough opponents" when the teams meet on Tuesday.

The La Liga title challengers will meet in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final, and both will come into the game on the back of a win. Diego Simeone's side sit top of the La Liga table thanks to a 2-1 victory over Athletic Bilbao, and Martino's side kept up in the title race with a 1-0 success over Espanyol.
Martino has heaped praise on Atletico and he believes his side will need to be at their best to beat them. He told reporters: "Atletico have been doing great things this season and last season too. They are alive in two competitions and they seem very confident and strong.
"In the three games against them [this season], they have proved to be a very tough opponent.
"We have to win and not concede any goals, that is basic when there is a return leg.

The first thing we need to do is to win because then the responsibility lies with the opponent."
