Arsenal 2-2 Swansea City

An injury-time own goal from Mathieu Flamini saw Swansea come from behind to snatch a draw after they had earlier led for an hour.

The Swans took a shock lead on 10 minutes, as Neil Taylor got forward down the left and his deep cross was met with a powerful header from Wilfried Bony. The striker got across his marker before putting his effort just inside the post to silence the Emirates faithful. Per Mertesacker put a header into the side netting from a corner but it was a struggle for Arsenal in the first half. They were very pedestrian and struggled to really cause problems for a well-organised Swansea defence. Arsenal's best chance of the first period came on 43 minutes when Santi Cazorla got away from two defenders and hit a low shot that Michel Vorm saved smartly.

Michu wasted a good chance on the hour mark to double Swansea's lead and they were left to rue that miss, as Arsenal then turned the game around with two goals in the space of 66 seconds. On 73 minutes Keiran Gibbs did great work down Arsenal's left and he found Lukas Podolski with a good cut-back, to give the German the chance to equalise with a volley. The crowd hadn't sat back down before Podolski found space and whipped in a great low cross for Olivier Giroud to prod home from six yards. However, Swansea never went away and continued to battle hard. Bony had a decent shout for a penalty when he looked to be barged over by Podolski in the box and moments later he put a header straight at Wojciech Szczesny. There was 90 minutes on the clock when Swansea did get level, and it was a calamitous moment for Arsene Wenger's men. Angel Rangel sent Leon Britton into the Gunners penalty area and as Szczesny came out to meet him before the ball bounced off the keeper, against Flamini's legs, and then flew into the back of the net. Arsenal tried in vain to grab a winner in injury time but the draw could all but end their title hopes. The match then did end on a controversial note as the referee blew up for full time as Jonathan De Guzman was clear through on goal.
